The ACT Government will plant 17,000 more trees across our city, to maintain and enhance the character of our bush capital that Canberrans love.
Trees play a big role in the lives of Canberrans, keeping our streets up to 10 degrees cooler in summer, and help us to adapt to climate change.
Trees will be prioritised for urban areas of low urban canopy and Moncrieff residents have raised the need for more greenery their local area.
If you would like a tree in your front yard, or at a local park, please fill out my survey to nominate a location and signal your support for more trees.
